DNA is not only at the centre of all life on this planet, but it is also the foundation of this painting. We inherit half of our DNA from our mother and the other half from our father. Jayde has captured this complex relationship of genetics, showcasing the unique features, characteristics, and ethnicities that are passed down from each parent.

They reach out across time and space, ultimately merging together to form the DNA strands that criss-cross across the centre of the painting.
